Making a Charter Quote

Start by entering the identifiers for each airport in the itinerary. If you don't know a particular identifier, you can look it up with the "Nearest Airports function".

As each leg is added, the airport name and leg distance is displayed in the "Make Quote" window. VOR's and user defined fixes can be used in making the quote. This is useful if you must make your quote to include circumnavigating a large lake or mountain range. The distance can be selected as statute or nautical miles. You can also pre-program charges associated with landing at any airport. These are tagged by airport identifier and entered in the Airport Chages File

When enter is pressed on an empty box, the calculation process begins by giving you the opportunity to tailor the quote to a specific customer. This is done with the following window:

There is a choice of four different tax rates (each being setup by the user in the program parameters) or no tax by checking or unchecking each tax. Each of these can be set up to be automatically checked on so a "normal profile" for making a quote is established.

The same choices with special discounts. Waiting time, any overnites and the number of Passenger Facility Charges can be entered so that appropriate charges (again according to user-entered parameters) can be added to the quote.

Finally, any miscellaneous charges that are not pre-programmed can be included, such as catering, co-pilot fees, rental cars, etc.
