In
the Options Window, you can set up the search radius for use with the "Nearest
Airport Search," change the charge method to "By the Mile" or "By the Hour,"
enter "standard winds" for use in refining the Estimated Time Enroute,
increase great circle distances by a percentage that varies with the distance
or add a fixed distance to each leg to allow for making an IFR approach,
etc.
By
checking individual items, you can control what gets taxed and when discounts
apply. You also give names to each type of tax or discount and the percentage
that applies. The "Auto On" feature allows you to determine which taxes
will automatically appear as applicable to the quote. They can be changed
at actual quote time, but this allows setting up a "normal quote profile"
that requires minimum changes and quickly gets you to a final quote number.
The Passenger Facility Charge is for those occasions when the airports
charge you a per passenger fee.
Here
you choose how the printed quote will look. Not a fancy page layout system,
but you can add remarks at the end of the quote concerning scheduling,
etc., add your company information in a header to the printed quote, or
choose to print blank lines so the quote can be printed on your official
letterhead. You can also check which planes to show in the printed quote
or choose all.
Each
quote is identified by the customer's name and ID of the first airport,
along with the date the quote is made.
You can have multiple quote storage files so that quotes can be stored by customer, month, or any other system that suits your needs. The "Select File" button allows you to quickly change files when storing or calling up previously stored quotes.
The info box at the bottom of the window shows which file is currently in use.
You have
the option of assigning specific charges to each/any airport identifier
in the database. This allows you to automatically include the charge any
time a quote lands at the particular airport. In this way you can make
sure that unsusual airport charges don't get neglected when making a quote.
